TT14

TT14 ( Theban Tomb 14; Theban grave 14) is located in the necropolis of Thebes (Egypt) referred to in the Dra Abu el- Naga section. The grave is the priest of Amenophis, the image of Amun, Huy. Huy probably dates to the 19th Dynasty ( New Kingdom ).

Grave system

In the grave of Huy is, strictly speaking, so far only a rock-hewn grave chapel, consisting of a decorated room and further, so far not exact study rooms. The grave chamber has not yet been found and excavated. The first room of the chapel is painted where the decoration is only partly preserved. On the south wall you will find a scene as the coffin of Huy is pulled. It is the remains of a ram god in a shrine and the presentation of a statue of Amenhotep I, which is supported by some men. On the north wall there is a scene showing the dead in the judgment of the dead. It boasts paintings of funeral ceremonies and Huy in being with his family. Finally, turn Amenhotep I and Ahmose Nefertari his mother are depicted as statues. Twice Huy is found on the ceiling in the worship of the sun god, once on behalf of the Amun -Re Harachte and once as Harachte - Atum. The paintings in the grave chapel has not been completed in part and performed only in outline. In the back rooms were found later burials, demonstrating that the grave was reused in later times.
