TT359

TT359 ( Theban Tomb No. 359 ) is a grave of Inihercha who was " chief among the workers at the place of truth." He was thus a senior official in the construction of the ancient Egyptian royal tombs in the Valley of the Kings. Inihercha lived in the time of the 20th Dynasty. The grave at Deir el -Medina consisted of two parts. There was an aboveground chapel and two grave chambers which were richly decorated with murals. They are among the most beautiful of the 20th Dynasty.

The grave lie next to the grave of the Kaha ( TT360 ) and is associated with this reference to several passages. The grave chapel is only poorly received, however, the paintings of the grave chambers are well preserved. There are numerous scenes that show the deceased and his wife in front of deities. Other scenes show him being with his family. It is of historic interest is the representation of Inihercha and his wife, who offer the royal family from the beginning of the Middle and New Kingdom victims. This scene is now almost completely destroyed and known only from a drawing of the Lepsius expedition.

Inihercha had another grave ( TT299 ), however, this is getting worse.
