TT37

The grave TT37 ( Theban Tomb 37 engl. = Theban grave No. 37) is located in the necropolis of al - Asasif in Western Thebes in Egypt. It comes from the Äthiopenzeit (around 700 BC) and belonged Harwa, the Lord Chamberlain under Amenirdis I. The plant is the first monumental tomb of the 25th dynasty in the northern Asasif.

Harwa chose as the location point of the intersection between the former causeway of Mentuhotep temple and a Nekropolenweg. The large grave is accessible from the south. It consists of a series of underground atrium, Tornische, two halls and a pillar extending around the entire facility corridor. In the sanctuary there is a semi-plastic statue of Osiris as a cult site. The 65 × 75 m large grave remained unfinished. About the superstructures is nothing more known.

TT37 is investigated since 1996 by a team of Milan under the direction of Franscesco Tiradritti.
