TTC Tychy

The Foreign Language Teacher Training College in Tychy ( nauczycielskie Kolegium Języków Obcych w Tychy ) is a state college, founded in 1990, is of English and German teachers. It works under the scientific supervision by the Silesian University in Katowice.

The training at the college lasts three years and is completed with a diploma examination. After that graduates can make the Lizenziatprüfung (comparable with bachelor's degree ) at the University. The conclusion gives them the opportunity to continue postgraduate studies ( Master's Degree ) at a university.

History

The College in 1990 to study the first institution in Tychy, which has given the upper school leavers the opportunity and plays an important and essential role in the higher education of foreign language teachers in Silesia.

Its first director ( 1990-2005 ) was Zbigniew Naumienko. In 2005, Ewa Fic took over this function.

Currently, the College is in the Wojska Polskiego road 8 and provides its students a modern equipped language laboratory, a multimedia lecture hall, a computer room, a library with media center and a gym are available.

Since 2003, the foreign language college Tychy organized bankruptcy Języka angielskiego i Języka Niemieckiego ( voice competitions in English and in German ) for high school students from the Silesian Voivodeship and the District of Oświęcim. The students of the college organize events in German and English for the region's inhabitants.
