Tuanaki

Tuanaki or Tuanahe is the name of a vanished group of small islands that were once part of the Cook Islands. It was located south of Rarotonga and two days ' journey from the sailing ship of Mangaia.

In 1916, the Polynesian Society of Honolulu published the report of a sailor who was there in 1842 to visit and spent six days at the natives. Two years later, nothing could be found with English missionaries from the islands a schooner.

Some Tuanakier survived because they had emigrated to Rarotonga.

It has been proposed the theory that the Haymet Rocks is a remnant of Tuanaki.
