Tuar (automobile)
Garage Moderne was a French automobile workshop and temporarily manufacturers of automobiles.
Company History
Adrien Morin (1880-1968) had gained experience in the automotive industry for Vinot & Deguingand, decauville and Cornilleau & Sainte- Beuve. In 1913 he founded the company in Thouars Garage Modern as a repair workshop and started the production of automobiles. The brand name was Tuar. 1922, the company employed 50 people. 1925 ended automobile production. A total of about 800 vehicles emerged. The company existed until 1956.
Rolling stock
There vehicles were produced on chassis of Malicet & Blin. The choice was between different built-in motors:
- Four -cylinder engine with 1244 cc, 1495 cc, 1503 cc and 1821 cc of Chapuis - Dornier
- Four -cylinder engine with 1601 cc capacity and six-cylinder engine with 1496 cc capacity of CIME
- Engines with 1327 cc and 1496 cc of Fivet
- Engines of Ruby
