Tuart-Forest-Nationalpark

The Tuart Forest National Park (English Tuart Forest National Park ) is a 20 km ² national park located in southwestern Western Australia, Australia.

Location

The park is located about 200 km south of Perth. Located between Bunbury and Busselton, extends to a length of 20 km as a narrow strip along the Bussell Highway. The approximately 5 km from Capel is the nearest major town.

Fauna and Flora

The stock of Tuarteukalyptus Eucalyptus gomphocephala in the Tuart Forest National Park is the only world he has survived in greater numbers in its original form and environment. Eucalyptus gomphocephala only thrives on limestone and was spread along the coast in an area of 200 km on either side of Perth. The national park is now home to the largest and highest copy of Tuarteukalyptus. Some Eucalyptus gomphocephala have a height of up to 33 meters and a circumference of 10 meters.

The Tuart Forest National Park is also home to the last wild population of the Western Ringtail Possum ( Pseudocheirus peregrinus occidentalis), a subspecies of the ordinary ring Beutler ( Pseudocheirus peregrinus). They live mainly in the gaps and holes of the old Tuartbäume. Also living on the territory of the national park, the densest population of a Kusus - kind in Western Australia. But the brush tail Beutler, the bush rat (Rattus fuscipes ), the Quenda ( Isoodon obesulus ) and kangaroo species. At least eleven species of birds of prey are native to the park.
