Tuburan (Cebu)

Tuburan is a Philippine municipality in the province of Cebu. Tuburan has 58 914 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) is a municipality and the second income class and is described as a partially urbanized.

The municipality is located on the west coast of the island of Cebu in the Tanon Strait, about 97 km north- west of Cebu City. Your neighboring communities are taboo Elan in the north, Sogod and Catmon Asturias to the east and the south.

The community was founded in 1851 and the name Tuburan is derived from the term Tubod, this means in Cebuano source because multiple sources can be on the territory of the municipality can be found, as the sources Molobol and Mantawihan.
