Tudor dynasty

House of Tudor [ tu ː də ], [ t ʲ u ː də ], Welsh Tudur or Tewdwr (English Royal House of Tudor ), is the name of a Welsh ancestry on the English throne from 1485 to 1603.

The first English Tudor King Henry VII led his claim to the throne through his mother, Margaret Beaufort, who died in 1377 at the King Edward III. Plantagenet back. Father Henry was Edmund Tudor, Earl of Richmond, son of Owen Tudor. As the leader of the party of the House of Lancaster, he defeated the last king of the House York, Richard III. at the Battle of Bosworth Field in 1485, was recognized by Parliament and married Elizabeth of York, sister of the lost King Edward V

After the last Queen of England of the House of Tudor James I came out of the House of Stuart to the throne because he was the great-grandson of Margaret Tudor; he was the first joint King of England and Scotland.
