Tugen people
The virtues (also called Tuken ) are with 144,000 ( 1987), a small ethnic group living around the virtues Hills in Kenya in Baringo District.
They belong to the ethnic group of the Kalenjin; Here again, you count them to the Hochlandniloten to which the Nandi, Marakwet, Pokot and Kipsigis belong. Ex-president Daniel arap Moi was born near the main town of the virtues, Kabarnet. Together with the Nandi are the virtues most of the famous long-distance runners of Kenya. Mostly, the virtues are shepherds, but they are also famous for their skill as a beekeeper.
The virtues Hills are formed by an enormous geological forces from the floor of the Rift Valley at an angle and to almost 2,000 meters up tectonic plates shifted.
