Tuija Brax

Tuija Brax ( born January 6, 1965 in Helsinki) is a Finnish politician.

Life

Brax studied after their schooling law at the University of Helsinki; she succeeded in 1990, the Master in Law. She was a member of the Green Party of Nations. She became a member of the City Council of Helsinki in 1993. In 1995 she succeeded in gaining as deputies in the Finnish Parliament, to which she belonged in the following years and were each re-elected. From 1995 to 1997 Brax was party chairman of the Federal Greens.

Under Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen Brax Minister of Justice was in the Cabinet, and it remained under his successor Mari Kiviniemi. In July 2010, Brax announced as Minister of Justice to enforce the opening marriage to same-sex couples in Finland

Tuija Brax is married with Antti Brax and has two children with her husband.
