Tuka Rocha

Christiano " Tuka " Rocha ( born December 13, 1982 in São Paulo ) is a former Brazilian racing driver.

Career

Rocha began his motorsport career in karting in 1992 and was active until 2000 in this sport. Among other things, he won in 1996 the Brazilian Junior Kart Championship and 1998 the Brazilian elderly Kart Championship. In 2001, the racing driver in formula racing and immediately became runner-up in the light class of the South American Formula 3 Championship. 2002 Rocha appeared for Gabord Competición in the World Series by Nissan. While his team-mate Ricardo Zonta won the championship, he was charged with a fourth place as best ranking eleventh. 2003 Rocha remained first in the World Series by Nissan. However, he went for Zele Racing to only 10 of 18 races. In the overall classification, he finished 17th place. He also competed in two races in the British Formula 3 Championship and was 24th in the driver standings.

2004 Rocha moved into the Superfund Euro Formula 3000 and took on different teams participated in seven out of ten race weekends. With a second place as best result he finished the season in eighth place overall. In 2005, the Brazilian only one race racing series, which was now renamed Italian Formula 3000, in part. Starting for Durango, he was third in goal and finished at the end of the season 14 overall. 2006, the championship was again renamed. In the race series now known as Euro Series 3000 Rocha took part in this year for three different racing teams at each race. On the Silverstone Circuit, he managed to win his first race in this championship. In the Drivers' Championship, he finished fourth.

After he had taken part in 8 of 22 A1 race for the Brazilian team in the winter of 2006/2007, he took up to two races of the 3000 Euro Series. He was in second place on the podium once. In the overall standings, he was 17 He also went to a race in the Stock Car Brasil in the light class at the start. 2008 Rocha started for assisted Astro Mega Team Flamengo Rio de Janeiro. After a second place finish in the second race he was no longer able to continue this performance in the rest of the season. His team finished the season on 16th place.

Since late 2008, Rocha participated more in any racing series.
