Tukangbesi Islands

Tukang Besi is an Indonesian archipelago.

Geography

Tukang Besi is located in the Banda Sea, south-east of the island of Sulawesi. The islands are part of the government district ( kabupaten ) Wakatobi ( province of Sulawesi Tenggara ).

The main islands are Wangi Wangi ( Wanci ) Kambode, Kaledupa, Tomia and Binongko.

Population

Approximately 18,000 residents speak Binongko, which is also known as Tukang Besi.
