Tulwitz is a municipality north of Graz, with about 520 inhabitants in Styria. From 1 January 2015 it is affiliated under the Styrian municipality structural reform with the communities Fladnitz at the Teichalp and Trnava, the new community will be called " Fladnitz at the Teichalp ".

Geography
Geographical Location
Tulwitz is located about 20 km north of the provincial capital of Graz in the district of Graz-Umgebung, Styria, in the region pastures country. The municipality is located on the western edge of the basin in Passailer Grazer Bergland, on Rechenberg, and forms the corresponding to the district of Graz-Umgebung part of the boiler, the other belongs to the district of Weiz.
The municipal area is the 1,094 m high Sulberg.

The municipality comprises the cadastral Tulwitzdorf and Tulwitzviertel.
Neighboring communities
History
The local church as an autonomous body created in 1850. After the annexation of Austria in 1938, the community came to Reichsgau Styria, 1945-1955, she was part of the British zone of occupation in Austria.

Almost 100 % of the inhabitants of Tulwitz are Roman Catholic.

Traffic
Through the municipal area of the Tulwitz Rechbergstraße ( B 64 ) leads. This way is also the Brucker Straße ( S 35 ) from Graz to Bruck an der Mur, which runs in the Mur Valley, can be reached in about 12 km.
In Tulwitz there is no train station. The nearest railway station is located about 12 km away in Frohnleiten and provides access to the southern runway with hourly regional train connections to Graz, Bruck an der Mur.
Graz Airport is about 55 km away.
Rechenberg race
Tulwitz is mainly known by the Rechenberg race, an international motor sports events with about 200 starters. The start is in the center of Tulwitz and the track leads up to the Rechenberg, to end in Tulwitzdorf. The Rechenberg race is the largest motorsports event in Austria. The vintage cars, touring cars and formula cars annually attract tens of thousands of visitors. The course record set in 2010 on the Italian Simone Faggioli from Osella factory team.
