Tumen, Jilin
Tumen (图 们 市Tumen Shì ) is a county-level city in the Yanbian Autonomous Prefecture of Koreans in Jilin Province of the People's Republic of China. The administrative area of Tumen has an area of 1146.6 km ² and around 130,000 inhabitants ( end of 2004). At a length of 60.6 km Tumen bordering North Korea. The border is in the middle of the river Tumen Jiang. Tumen is a county-level city in March 1965.
Administrative Divisions
At the community level, Tumen is composed of three road districts and four large municipalities. These are:
- Road district Xiangshang (向上 街道), 4.32 km ², population 26 745;
- Road district Xinhua (新华 街道), 6.3 km ², 23,205 inhabitants, center, seat of the city government;
- Road district Yuegong (月宫 街道), 4.32 km ², population 25 864;
- Greater community Yueqing (月 晴 镇), 328.95 km ², 14,102 inhabitants;
- Greater community Shixian (石砚 镇), 202.3 km ², 22,297 inhabitants;
- Greater community of Chang'an (长安 镇), 234.7 km ², 9,903 inhabitants;
- Greater community Liangshui (凉水 镇), 370.74 km ², 13,214 inhabitants.
