The University Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia ( UTHM ) ( Mal. Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia) Batu Pahat in Johor in the state, founded in 1993 is a public university in Malaysia. The University is named after Hussein Onn, the third Prime Minister of Malaysia.

History

Today's College was founded in 1993 as Pusat Latihan Staf Politeknik ( PLSP ). The object of the school was the training of teachers for technical professions. Was Manages the training facility from the Ministry of Education, and the Technical University of Malaysia. In 1996, the school to the Institute Teknologi Tun Hussein Onn ( ITTHO ) has been upgraded and in 2000 it received the status of a University College. The university grew rapidly in the following years and was therefore appointed in 2006 by the government to a university and in 2007 received its current name.

Organization

The Chancellor of the University is honorary and is occupied by a well-known personality, while the full-time management of the University is headed by the Vice-Chancellor.
