Tunavallen is a football stadium in the Swedish town of Eskilstuna. It is the home ground of football clubs IFK Eskilstuna Eskilstuna City FK ( IK City? ).
The stadium was initially a normal sports stadium with only a tribune, which possessed in addition to a lawn for football matches on athletics facilities. During the Football World Cup 1958, Tunavallen the smallest stadium was the group match Paraguay took place against Yugoslavia ( 3-3 ) here.
Early 2000s, the old stadium was completely demolished and the congregation built a new Eskilstuna now pure football stadium. This was inaugurated in August 2002. The stadium now has on all sides of the court stands (Lange Pages: seats; short sides: standing).
Facts
- The audience capacity of 7,800 people today. There are 6,000 seats.
- The attendance record dates back to the old stadium, where in 1963 22.491 people watched the game IFK Eskilstuna against GAIS Gothenburg.
