Tunica albuginea

As tunica albuginea (Latin - anat. ) Is referred to in the anatomy a tough shell of taut collagenous connective tissue that wraps around the testicles, the corpora cavernosa of the penis and the clitoris as well as the ovaries. It represents a special form of connective tissue, the whitish look through their densely packed connective tissue fibers and therefore takes its name.
