The Tunupa (also Thunupa ) is a volcano in the department of Potosí, Bolivia. It is located in the district ( bolivian: Municipio) Tahua on the northern edge of the Salar de Uyuni and is 5432 m high. At the foot of Tunupa there are several of the accommodations from which you can begin the ascent to Tunupa. Halfway up there is an enclosed space in which four mummies and grave goods are located.
