Tuorla Observatory

The Tuorlan observatorio is an observatory at the University of Turku, about ten kilometers east of Turku in Finland. It was founded in 1952 on the initiative of Yrjö Väisälä.

The observatory has a Dall - Kirkham telescope, the largest optical telescope in Finland is 1 meter in diameter, further on a 0.7 meter Schmidt camera and especially to observe the Sun over a 2 -meter radio telescope.
