Tupan Patera

Tupan Patera is a volcano on Jupiter's moon Io with a diameter of 79.13 km. He was named after the Brazilian thunder god. Its cliffs are 900 meters high. Parts of the crater are higher than the original floor and therefore contain no dark remnants of lava. Probably caused previous outbreaks of tupan Patera to the fact that the surface of the neighboring moon Amalthea is now colored red.
