Turban

A Turban ( from Italian turbante about Turkish tülbent of Persian dulband, also Tulbend, see also Tulip ) is a headwear Oriental origin, consisting of one or several long strips of fabric, according to a special method to the head or a worn underneath cap be wound. Turbans are worn mainly in Muslim countries and in parts of India in numerous local variants.

Has its origin this kind of headgear probably in ancient Persia. Already on surviving stone reliefs in Persepolis are people to identify with turban - like headgear.
