Turbomeca Artouste

The Turbomeca Artouste is a shaft gas turbine the French manufacturer Turbomeca. The main customer was the company Aérospatiale, which built the engines in helicopters. Located directly on the engine, a reduction gear with the gear ratio of about 6:1 is flanged.

Variants

Artouste II B1/C/C5/C6

This engine variants were incorporated into the Aérospatiale Alouette II; the first production helicopter propelled by a turbine shaft power. The artouste II was certified on 2 May 1957 and built until 1964 1445 times. It was produced under license in the UK by Bristol Siddeley and in India by HAL.

Artouste III B

The version III B drives the Aerospatiale SA -319 helicopter, which is nicknamed Alouette III. It was certified on 15 December 1961. This engine is still installed.
