The former speaker of the Working Group on Migration and integration of the SPD, Lale Akgun, criticized the goal of cultivating tradition as integration enemy " prompt, segregate ". The writer Ralph Giordano believes the DİTİB was an unsuitable developers for mosques in Germany, in so far as it 'll go you rather to the preservation of Turkishness as to integrate into German society. The DİTİB deny the genocide of the Armenians and replace religion by ultra- patriotism.

The journalist Jörg Lau criticized the " close to the Turkish state," the DİTİB was a " long arm Erdogan ". Lale Akgun threw the DİTİB " lust for power " and " reactionary attitudes " before. As an offshoot of the Turkish state-owned religious authority, it stresses that DİTİB not about religion, but about the " authority to interpret the social". As an example, Akgun referred to a later removed from the Internet Guide to the Turkish authority Diyanet for " good and exemplary Muslim women," which had been included " misogynistic rules " such as the exclusive travel ban on women. Even after he was declared to have withdrawn it, the DİTİB sales continue to Islam a primer entitled " Allowed and Verwehrtes " of the Turkish Islamic scholar Hayrettin Karaman in which the beating of wives was presented as adequate behavior.
