Turn on the forehand

The turn on the forehand is a lesson from basic training in dressage; In this case, the horse is turned to a point close to the inner front foot.

The horse is doing in keeping outward in the direction of the turn, superscript ( for example, on the left hand to right) and with the somewhat covered new inner ( the far outer, in the example right ) leg is the hind legs step by step stimulated to turn around the forehand, while the (previously internal, in the example left ) leg new external motion controls ( as so-called custodial legs help). For gang back space has to be left, if necessary, as the head and neck are turned outwards (on the " second hoof " and hold). A recession is here regarded as the lower error compared to a protrusion ( as opposed to the haunches ). The lesson is considered solved exercise, the horse and rider also facilitates the fine-tuning of aid, particularly in a design emphasizes step by step.
