Turn! Turn! Turn! ( To Everything There Is a Season ) is a song by Pete Seeger from the year 1950. Originally published it in 1962 on an album with Columbia Records.

The best-known artists of this song are The Byrds, occupied first place with this title three weeks in the U.S. singles charts. The second album by the Byrds Turn! Turn! Turn! was named after the song.

The text is an adaptation of Old Testament Bible text from the book of Ecclesiastes, Chapter 3, verses 1-8 (LUT ). Probably Seeger used the King James Bible (KJV). Marlene Dietrich sang 1963, a complete German version of this song under the title For everything comes the time ( Believe, believe, believe ). Part of the German transmission of these lines has the (East ) German band Puhdys also used in the song When a man lives.
