The Gymnastics ( also written Turne ) is a mountain between the Simmental and the Diemtigtal in the Bernese Oberland.

Location

The gym is located on the ridge, which ( in the north) separates the sub- Simmental from Diemtigtal ( in the south). With 2'079, 2 m, it is just before the Niderhorn ( 2,077, 6 ​​m) ​​, the highest summit of the ridge. Together with the priests ( 1'943 m) and Abendberg ( 1'851 ​​, 5 m ), it forms the eastern Gratabschluss.

The summit is located on the territory of the municipality Erlenbach; he is, however, the Simmental village Därstetten closer, its municipal area to just enough on the northwest flank just below the summit. In the south of Meniggrund are ( a tributary of the Diemtigtal ) and the resort Zwischenflüh (municipality Diemtigen ).

Summit

The summit is flat, grassy and achievable within the framework of a slight hike. However, the north face drops steeply and is of three rocky basins ( Chörbli, Chlyne Chorb and Big Chorb ) dominates.
