Turtle Lake (Tbilisi)
The Turtle Lake ( Kus Tba, of Georgian კუს "turtle" and ტბა "lake" ) is a lake in the Georgian capital Tbilisi. There is a small lake above the prestigious residential area of Wake. The name of the lake is probably due to the here encountered in large numbers turtles.
The Turtle Lake is located at an altitude of 686.7 m and is fed by the brook Varazis - Khevi, a tributary of the Mtkvari. The water surface is 0.034 km ² in size and the lake is 2.6 m deep at the deepest point.
The Turtle Lake is a popular recreation area for residents of the capital. The district Wake the lake is connected by a good road ( Formerly known by the funicular ).
