The Tutzing station is currently the only station in the Bavarian town of Tutzing and a station of the Munich S-Bahn. The station belongs to the train station category 4 of DB Station & Service and has three platform tracks. It is operated daily from about 150 trains of Deutsche Bahn AG, of which 50 S-trains. The Tutzing station is on the railway line from Munich to Garmisch -Partenkirchen and is the beginning of Kochelseebahn to Kochel am See.

There used in Tutzing still the Diem village station on the railway line from Munich to Garmisch -Partenkirchen, which was closed in 1984 for passenger traffic.

Location

The station is located west of the town center of Tutzing. The station building is located east of the railway tracks at the station road which links the station to the town center, and has the address Bahnhofstrasse 26, West of the tracks runs the Beringerweg. History

The Tutzing station was opened together with the route Starnberg Tutzing on 1 July 1865 which extended the commissioned into service on November 28, 1854 train from Munich to Starnberg south. On 28 May 1972, Tutzing station was built as a railway terminal in the network of the Munich S-Bahn. In 2013 the station was expanded accessible.

Infrastructure

The Tutzing station has three platform tracks. Track 1 is located on the main platform, the tracks 2 and 3 on a central platform. To the west of the platforms still exist two Platform loose siding.
