Tuxeck

Peak structure of the Tuxecks from Treffauer

The Tuxeck (also Tuxegg ) is a 2226 m above sea level. A. high peaks in the Kaiser mountains in Tyrol. It precedes the Treffauer south and is also called Ellmau high emperor.

Routes

A marked path leads from the hunter economy in Scheffau from the southwest to the summit. Only the last 10 meters to the summit have difficulties of III. Degree ( UIAA ) ( defused with a few rings a bit, but steep and exposed ), the rest is no more difficult than I, but rockfall risk.

A further increase leads from the east, from the Gruttenhütte on the Schutter field heads to the summit of this climb now again well marked is landscaped beautifully, but quite challenging since not secured with ropes (up to an almost reached and occurs less steep section ) rockfall threatened, fragile and extreme.

Furthermore, there is also a marked transition between Tuxeck and Treffauer. This is the path selected Enzensperger J. and H. Hahn on August 14, 1897 during the first ascent of Tuxecks.

More difficult climbing routes here are hard to find. The south ridge in Class IV is hardly committed and is only of historical importance, even more increases as that of the southwest ( II) or the south wall (II ) are insignificant.
