Tuz Khurmatu (Arabic طوز خورماتو, DMG Tuz Ḫūrmātū, also Tuz Tuz Xûrmatû or short ) is an Iraqi city in the province of Salah ad-Din. The city has 59 189 inhabitants ( 2010) and is 220 meters above sea level. The population is composed of Turkomans, Kurds and Arabs. Smaller minorities include the Arameans and Assyrians. To the majority of Turkmen populated city occurred in November 2012, clashes between Iraqi army and Kurdish peshmerga.
