The Tuzla -Class (Turkish: Yeni Tip Karakol Botu ) is a patrol boat class of ships of the Turkish Navy. It is named after the district of Istanbul Tuzla. Designed and built for use in shore waters are the ships of the Tuzla - class of the Dearsan shipyard in Istanbul.
On 23 August 2007, a contract for the construction of 16 new patrol boats to 2015 between the Secretary of State for Defense Industry and the Dearsan Gemi İnşaat Sanayii A.Ş.. By 2013, eight ships of the Turkish Navy were handed over. During the construction of the ships total of 204 domestic enterprises are involved. While the participation of the domestic defense industry was the Ada class at 65 percent, the Tuzla - class to a percentage of 67.5 percent.
