TV Grosswallstadt

The Turnverein Großwallstadt 1888 eV ( TVG ) is a sports club from the Lower Franconian town of Wall town, which was nationally known primarily for his handball section.

History

With seven German championships, four DHB Cup victories and five international titles of TV Großwallstadt is one of the most successful handball clubs in Germany.

Already since 1925 Handball is played in the Lower Franconian Großwallstadt. In 1969, we, after numerous successes at the regional level, in the hall handball Bundesliga. In addition, the Association of Field Handball Bundesliga 1967 belonged to 1973 in all seven summer seasons in which they existed. On February 6, 2012, the TV Großwallstadt announced that a change of legal form has been decided. Accordingly, the TV Grosswallstadt Handball AG in the TV Grosswallstadt Handball GmbH was converted.

Venues

The TV Großwallstadt contests from the 2010/11 season 's Bundesliga home games only at the fan frankenstolz arena (capacity 4200 spectators ) in Aschaffenburg. The former alternative performance space, the Sparkassen Arena Else field is only used for any cup matches.

Mascot

The mascot of the Handball Bundesliga team is Leo Lionheart. On 1 June 2006, it was at the "First official mascot World Cup " at TV total winner.

Social Commitment

In addition to regular charity matches, the club started, among others, in June 2006, the project goes TVG school, in which the Bundesliga team visited schools in the area for joint training.
