TV Tokyo

The TV Tokyo (or TX) (Japanese株式会社 テレビ東京, Kabushiki - gaisha Terebi Tōkyō, Eng. TV TOKYO Corporation) is a television station whose programs are produced in Minato, Tokyo, Japan. It is also the beacon transmitter of the TV Networks TXN.

TV Tokyo is known for its anime series. TV TOKYO Broadband Entertainment, Inc. offers downloadable programs.

History

On April 12, 1964, the television station was established by the Japan Science Promotion Foundation and was then called Tōkyō Channel 12. On 1 July 1968, K. K. was Tōkyō 12 Channel Production (株式会社 东京12チャンネル プロダクション, Kabushiki - gaisha Tōkyō 12 Channeru Purodakushon, Eng. Tokyo Channel 12 Production, Ltd.). Founded. In October, the company was renamed K. TXN
