The monastery TVis ( tutta vallis ) is a former Cistercian abbey in Denmark. It was a few kilometers southeast of Holstebro in Jutland on a small island between the river and Storå TVis Å.

History

The monastery was founded in 1163 by Prins Buri Henriksen, (now Sweden) left the monastery Herrevad in Scania from the filiation of Citeaux considerable land around the city of Holstebro. During the Reformation ended the existence of the monastery, this 1547 is specified. The church should have been aborted in 1698. In the west wing, a parish church was established, but was also demolished after construction of the new parish church in 1887. Today, except the foundations no more residues are present.
