The TVR 390SE was an open sports car that was built by TVR in Blackpool ( England). In October 1984, he was introduced and had many new features compared to the other wedge - shape TVR has to offer. TVR worked with Andy Rouse, a tuning specialists from Rover, together and so got a V8 engine compared to the 3.5 liter V8, the Rover Series additional 85 bhp (62.5 kW), thus making a total of 275 bhp (202 kW ) supplied. ³ This was achieved by drilling the cylinder up to a displacement of 3905 cm, reached camshafts for longer valve, cylinder heads with optimized gas flow and honed by Cosworth cylinder. To cope with the extra power the car got stronger couplings, locking differentials and wider tires of Yokohama. The styling of the car was improved; they got a deeper front spoiler and underbody paneling at the back. Also 15 " wheels were used. In 1985 a series 2, the most striking difference from the series 1 was the more rounded nose.
