TVR Typhon

The TVR Typhon was a sports car that was manufactured by TVR in Blackpool ( England) 2004.

The Typhon is probably the fastest production TVR. Only the prototype Cerbera Speed 12 was faster.

Like all TVR Typhon had no electronic security systems, since the owner of the company thought that its cars are safer without these systems. He was driven by the same six-cylinder Speed Six as its sister models Tuscan, Sagaris and Cerbera. The entire body was made of CFRP and GRP not like the other TVR. This allowed for an extremely low power to weight ratio of just 1.89 kg / hp ( 2.57 kg / kW). Also, the body was designed using CAD software, and manufactured using CAM. The rigidity of the structure was increased by a roll-cage and a honeycomb structure in the vehicle floor. The Typhon was also the first TVR - road vehicle, which was equipped with adjustable shock absorbers, which allowed the customer to fine tune the handling.
