Geography

Geographical Location

Twieflingen is located south of the Elm Lappwald. The community belongs to the Samtgemeinde Heeseberg, which has its headquarters in the town of Jerxheim.

Incorporations

On March 1, 1974, the municipalities Dobbeln and Wobeck were incorporated.

Economy and infrastructure

Traffic

Twieflingen is located about one kilometer northwest of the federal highway 244 which leads from Helmstedt to Wernigerode, and about one kilometer south of the national road 82 Schoningen - Schoeppenstedt - Goslar.

The site is integrated into the composite tariff Brunswick region. The bus lines 371 and 397 of the haulage company Braunschweig Twieflingen connect with the nearest cities Schoningen and Schoeppenstedt. The nearest train stations are eleven kilometers west in Schoeppenstedt on the railway line Schoeppenstedt -Wolfenbüttel ( Brunswick ) and 15 km north in Helmstedt on the railway Brunswick- Magdeburg.
