Twin Dragons

Twin Dragons (Chinese双龙 会, Pinyin Shuang Long Hui, meeting of two dragons ' Alternative title see below ) is a 1991 Hong Kong turned into action and martial arts movie with Jackie Chan and many other stars of the Hong Kong film.

Action

John Ma and Boomer ( both played by Jackie Chan) are identical twins who were separated by a child predator shortly after birth and unaware of the other. John Ma is recognized conductor, Boomer learns to fight and is gangster. When the two happen to be in the same restaurant, there is a series of mix-ups. In particular, a band of gangsters, who has it in for Boomer, is now also manufactures behind John Ma.

As the two Twins, however, are connected to each other almost telepathically, they do not just feel the emotions of others, but can even be guided by its movements. So Boomer must prove in between as a conductor, while John Ma is hand-tight deals with the gangsters, what brings them victory over the villain at the end.

Criticism

  • As usual brilliant Jackie Chan with his typical blend of breakneck action and charming slapstick. Maximum enjoyable and fast. (TV movie )

  • Alternatively film used titles are: Double Dragons, Brother vs. Brother, When Dragons Collide Duel of Dragons, Dragon Duo, When Dragons Meet.
  • The film was made as a benefit project for the Hong Kong Directors Guild film, with the proceeds to be built a new office building, but this never happened. Therefore, in this film had also some well-known people of the Hong Kong film, many even before the camera, such as John Woo, who plays a priest, Lau Kar -Wing as a doctor or Eric Tsang, David Chiang, Kirk Wong, among others
  • The idea for Twin Dragons also comes from the 1991 released movie Double Impact - Double Impact with Jean -Claude Van Damme.
  • After the great success of Rush Hour (film ) in the USA Twin Dragons was there once again brought to the cinema in a newly cut version, which is about ten minutes shorter and has been re-synchronized and set to music.
