Twin Peaks (San Francisco)

The Twin Peaks (English: Twin Peaks ) are two hills in San Francisco in the U.S. state of California. With a height of 276 m (northern peak ) and 277 m (southern peak ) they provide after Mount Davidson, the second highest natural elevations of San Francisco dar.

You are in a natural park, the Twin Peaks Natural Area. The two peaks leads the Twin Peaks Boulevard, where on the north side of the hill a car park with lookout ( Christmas Tree Point, German Christmas Tree Point) is located, which offers a beautiful view over the city of San Francisco.

The Spanish conquerors and the first settlers called the two hills " Los Pechos de la Chola ", which roughly means "the breasts of Indian girl ."

The name Twin Peaks is also used for the district, which spreads around the hill.
