Twist bread

As French bread (regional and stick cake) is called a type of bread, in which the dough, often a yeast dough is baked to a stick wrapped over the coals of an open fire. For this, a branch of a non-toxic tree as exempt, for example, the hazelnut at one end of the bark and then applied either helically or envelope -like bread dough on the floor.

In Switzerland it is also known snake bread, in East Germany, it is known as a stick to bread or cake stick or club bread.
