Two-banded Warbler
The binding Warbler ( Basileuterus bivittatus ) is a small passerine bird in the family of warblers ( Parulidae ).
Features
The wingspan is the male 6.1 to 7.2 inches; in the female 6 to 6.6 centimeters. Adults binding Warbler and young birds from the first year depending on the subspecies wear a yellow to orange crown stripe and black crest side strips. The top plumage is olive; the underside yellow plumage. The beak is small, pointed and blackish - gray; the feet wearing a pale orange color.
Occurrence
The distribution area extends from Venezuela through Guyana, Peru, Brazil, Bolivia to Argentina. There they come in bamboo thickets at altitudes 700-1800 m in small groups or in pairs, especially in cloud forests and especially in Peru.
Subspecies
There are three recognized subspecies:
- Basileuterus bivittatus bivittatus ( Orbigny & Lafresnaye, 1837) - From southern Peru to central Bolivia
- Basileuterus bivittatus roraimae Sharpe, 1885 - Southern Venezuela to the west of Guyana and the North of Brazil
- Basileuterus bivittatus arge tinae Room, 1949 - Südzentralbolivien to the north of Argentina
