Two-dimensional space

2D or 2 -D is a common abbreviation for two-dimensional and a synonym for tasks in a level or mathematically defined surface - as opposed to 3D spatial structures.

Two-dimensional means that each point of the object in two figures for his position needed - so, for example, (x, y) for the indication of its location on a drawing or in a plane coordinate system.

In most cases, 2D computations are an area, while a 3-D object is usually a body.
