Two Hands - The Leon Fleisher Story is an American documentary from the year 2006.

Action

The film portrays the American pianist Leon Fleisher, who in the 1960s due to an illness his right hand could no longer use. Until 1998, he appeared as a left-handed composer and also worked as a conductor and teacher. Since 1998, he can play again with both hands after a treatment with Botox injections was successful.

Criticism

Sam Adams of the " Philadelphia City Paper ," wrote Fleisher was not ready to tell the brilliant details of his past, incomprehensibly, in the interviews. Although director Kahn try to fill the gaps of the fascinating story, but the film remains only half told.

Awards

2007 the film was nominated in the category Best Short Documentary Oscar.

He received another nomination for Best Documentary at the award ceremony of the News and Documentary Emmy Awards.
