Tye Sheridan

Tye Sheridan ( born November 11, 1996 Elkhart, Texas ) is an American actor. It became famous child actor through his film debut in The Tree of Life ( 2011).

Life

Tye Sheridan has been growing since its birth in Elkhart, Texas, east of Houston, on with his parents and a younger sister. He visits the local independent school system. It was discovered early in casting Terrence Malick for The Tree of Life ( 2011). The film tells the story of three brothers growing up in the 1950s in the Midwestern United States and with different attitudes of their parents (played by Jessica Chastain and Brad Pitt) are confronted.

The casting that took advantage of a year, more than 10,000 children participated from Texas and Oklahoma. For the part of the eldest son Jack, who is embodied as an adult by Sean Penn, it was decided between twelve candidates who were invited to Austin Texas. Although Sheridan lost the part to Hunter McCracken, but was involved with the also favored Laramie Eppler as a film brothers. He was selected for the part of the youngest brother Steve and spent with his mother four months on location in Smithville, Texas. The child actors and their parents was just the overall story, but not the exact script shown as they should act as naturally as possible. The inexperienced as an actor Sheridan was joint McCracken and Eppler praise from the critics. The U.S. industry publication Variety judged Sheridan and Eppler as " wonderfully authentic".

In junior high school of his native city, Sheridan did forth, among other things as a quarterback of the football team and as an award- winning athlete. In 2012 he continued his film career with Jeff Nichols Mud. The drama, The Tree of Life received an invitation to compete in the Film Festival of Cannes, reports of two boys who a refugee ( played by Matthew McConaughey ) help to escape from an island in the Mississippi. A year later, Sheridan was seen as Gary in David Gordon Green's drama Joe. For his performance as the hapless and of wandering teenager in an ex-convict (played by Nicolas Cage) a new father figure looks, he won the Young Actor Award at the International Film Festival of Venice.
