Buttoned Burma Crocodile Newt ( Tylototriton verrucosus )

The crocodile newts ( Tylototriton ) are a genus of Caudata. Their range extends from the eastern Himalayas over Indochina to southern and central China.

Features

The crocodile newts reach up to 23 inches total length (females of Tylototriton taliangensis ). Females are slightly larger than males usually. The crocodile newts are the ribs Newts ( Pleurodeles ) kinship pretty close. This is reflected in anatomical and morphological features such as exposed warts rows (ribs glands ) along the back pages. Among these are upturned rib tips.

Dissemination

Specifically, these animals come into China, northern Vietnam, northern Thailand, Laos, the northern mountainous regions of Myanmar ( Burma ), northern India ( the state of Sikkim and Darjeeling district in the state of West Bengal ) and Nepal before.

The salamanders live in moist mountain forests up to 3000 meters above sea level. They are most active in the terrarium at temperatures between 16.5 ° and 19 ° Celsius.
