The Tymfristos (Greek Τυμφρηστός spoken Timfristos; Velouchi also Βελούχι ) is a 2,315 m high mountain in the Regional District Evrytania the region of Central Greece. It is located at the southern end of the Pindus Mountains and bordering the valley of the river Karpenissiotis westward towards the valley of the Sperchios from. The Karpenissiotis rises on its western flank, the Sperchios on its eastern flank. To the north and west of the river Tymfristos Tavropos ( Megdova ) is circled. South of the city lies Tymfristos Karpenisi.

On the Tymfristos is the Velouchi ski area. Despite these tourist use the Tymfristos massif is a biotope within the meaning of NATURA2000 program. The protected area covers 4000 ha with an average height of 1700 m.

The Tymfristos is from the National Road 38 ( European Route 952) West ( Agrinio, Karpenissi ) to east ( Lamia ) happens and partially crosses ( Tymfristos tunnel).
