The Type 75 (Japanese 75式 自 走155mmりゅう 弾 砲, 75 - shiki Jiso 155mm ryūdanhō, dt "Type -75 self-propelled 155mm artillery ") is a self-propelled howitzer of the Japanese ground self-defense forces. The Type 75 howitzer was developed simultaneously with the Type 74 main battle tanks and used some of the same components. 2001 there were still 201 pieces into service, they will be replaced over time by the more modern Type 99 howitzer.
