History

The town's name comes from the time of the Bavarian land acquisition in the 6th and 7th centuries. He was first mentioned in 790 as Deolekingas and means " For the people of Deorlaik ". ( Deorlaik is the name of the leader of the former settler was. ) Since the beginning of the 8th century, the monastery of St. Peter goods possessed in Salzburg in place. As the province of Salzburg in 1328 broke away from Bavaria, Tyrlaching was part of this new independent country.

Tyrlaching was an office of the archbishopric of Salzburg and fell in the secularisation of 1803 to the Archduke Ferdinand of Tuscany, in 1805 then in the Peace of Pressburg in Austria, which it along with the Rupertiwinkel in which it is situated, had ceded to Bavaria 1809/10. Tyrlaching was part of in the context of local government reform in 1972 dissolved the district running. The municipality came on 1 July 1972 Altötting and forms since then with the communities Kirchweidach, Feichten an der Alz and Halsbach the administrative community Kirchweidach.

Incorporations

On May 1, 1978 Parts of the dissolved municipality Kay were incorporated ( Traunstein ).

Policy

Mayor is Matthew Maier ( Free electorate ).

Parish council

After the last municipal election on March 2, 2008, the council has twelve members who are all free to the fraction electorate. The turnout was 63.9 %. Another member and chairman of the municipal council is the mayor.
