Tyrone Marshall
Tyrone Marshall ( born November 12, 1974 in Kingston) is a Jamaican football player at the position of a defender. He currently plays for the Colorado Rapids in the highest North American Major League, Major League Soccer.
Career
The beginnings
At the age of twelve, Marshall came with his family from Jamaica to the United States to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. From 1994 to 1996 he attended the Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, where he could gain experience with football for the first time. After college, it went public in 1996 at the Florida International University in Miami, where he was employed in men's football team until his departure in 1998.
Playing career
After a successful time at the football team of the University Marshall was selected when MLS College Draft 1998 ranks eleventh in round 1 of the Colorado Rapids. After only a league use it was made mid-season at Miami Fusion. For Miami he played up to their withdrawal from the league after the 2001 season in a total of 82 league games.
In the following MLS Allocation Draft 2002 Marshall was selected by Los Angeles Galaxy, in which he came to 124 championship stakes until his departure in 2007, while also scoring four goals. With LA Galaxy, he won the championship title in 2002 and 2005 (MLS Cup ), 2005 it was used as points best team in the regular season also won the MLS Supporters' Shield. Also in 2005, we won the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
In June 2007, he transferred in exchange for Edson Buddle to the Canadian MLS side Toronto FC, who had taken up the game operating in the MLS until beginning of the season. There he graduated until its disposal 40 league games.
On 10 February 2009 it was announced that he was transferred to the Seattle Sounders FC.
In January 2011, he was selected in Re - Entry Draft by the Colorado Rapids of the MLS.
Internationally
In the Jamaican national team Marshall came so far to 59 interventions, where he brought it up two hits. 2003 and 2005 was Marshall in Jamaican squad for the CONCACAF Gold Cup in two sweeps failed Jamaica in the quarterfinals. 2005 Marshall was appointed to the expanded line-up of all-star teams.
In the qualifications for the World Cup 2002, World Cup 2006 and the 2010 World Cup, he also came to missions.
